- 1 cup almonds, coarsely chopped

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 ℉ (175 ° C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Stir the flour, baking powder, cardamom, and salt in a larger bowl. Beat the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the flour mixture until fully incorporated, then fold the almonds. Split the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll each portion into a 12-by-2-inch log.
- Set the logs on the prepared baking sheet, about 4 inches apart, and sprinkle coarse sugar over them. Bake for 25 mins or until golden brown around the edges.
- Take it out from the oven and allow it to cool for five mins. Using a serrated knife, diagonally slice the logs into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
- Place the biscuit slices, cut side down, on a baking sheet and bake for 10 mins, or until they are golden and crisp. Before serving, remove from the oven and allow to cool fully.
