Quinoa Porridge with Almonds and Berries

This warm and comforting bowl of goodness is made with wholesome quinoa, creamy almond milk, and a mix of sweet and juicy berries. Topped with crunchy almonds and a drizzle of honey, this porridge is a nutritious and delicious way to start your day.


  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cardamom
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • ¼ cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • ¼ cup milk or milk alternative of your choice
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • Fresh mint, for garnish


  1. Thoroughly rinse the quinoa in a fine mesh sieve and drain it. Bring the quinoa, water, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, cloves, and salt to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Turn down the heat, cover the pan with a lid, and let the quinoa simmer for 15 mins until the water is absorbed and the quinoa is soft. Quinoa is mixed with almonds and berries.
  3. Divide the quinoa mixture into 2 bowls and pour in the milk or milk alternative. Drizzle the maple syrup over the top of each bowl of quinoa porridge. Garnish with fresh mint and serve immediately.
