Wonton Soup
Enjoy the comfort of a classic Chinese soup with this delicious and satisfying wonton soup. Ingredients:
- ½ lb. ground pork
- ¼ cup diced water chestnuts
- ¼ cup diced mushrooms
- ¼ cup diced green onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 40 wonton wrappers
- 6 cups chicken broth
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Mix ground pork, water chestnuts, mushrooms, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch in a large bowl.
- Place a heaping teaspoon of the pork mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Moisten the wrapper's edges with water, fold it into a triangle, and then press the corners together to seal. Repeat with the remaining wonton wrappers.
- In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil. Add the wontons to the boiling broth and cook for 3-4 mins or until they float to the surface.
- Serve the wontons in bowls with the broth and garnish with sliced green onions and cilantro, if desired. Enjoy!
