  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup matcha powder
  • ½ cup  milk or dark chocolate chips


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 ℉ (175 ° C). Line an 8-by-8-inch (20-by-20-centimeter) baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a medium non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat and allow to cool gently. Mix the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla essence in a large bowl.
